A Development Strategy for Maysfield, Belfast
Working with EDAW on their framework agreement with the Laganside Corporation, we were asked to produce a mixed use A Development Strategy for Maysfield. This is an important entry point to the city on the East Bridge Street/Albert Bridge axis as well as being the location of Belfast Central Railway Station. Significant residential developments have already taken place on the part of the site facing the River Laggan and the new framework centred on the future of the Maysfield Leisure Centre, Central Station and its change in level from East Bridge Street and of course the relationship with the river.
The basic component of the strategy were business space, additional residential development, a hotel and boat facility together with a new arrival space for the station.
